FungiOS started in a basement grow room in Portland, Oregon. Our founder, after years of commercial cultivation, kept hitting the same wall: no reliable species data, no way to benchmark yields, no market intelligence. Every decision was a guess.
After losing a $40,000 shiitake crop to a contamination event that better data could have prevented, the decision was made to build the platform that should have existed for decades.
Two years later, FungiOS has grown from a personal tool into the intelligence backbone for thousands of cultivators, researchers, and institutions across six continents.
